"Excellent new EP from Sheffield's Repomen. It's a bit of a change from the 80s inspired indie chaps, with their punkiness turned down low and the melodies on high. "Star" is a delightful song, with it's bouncing rhythm and anthemic chorus. It kinda reminds me of Fried-era Julian Cope and They Might Be Giants! After such a jaunty opening, the EP takes on a darker tone. "Violet" is a hypnotic piano-led ballad that wouldn't be out of place on LOu Reid's Berlin. The boys pile on the pressure with the instrumental "Diminished" before the acapella intro of the unsettling "Both Feet". Easlily the best EP to date from this criminally underrated band."
